Group dance activities
Calendar time
FACILITATED SOCIAL / PLAY TIME
We use a lot of visuals and communication assistance to help the children with their social language goals. Preschool PALS utilizes teen volunteers to help the children learn, grow, and achieve to the best of their potential.
Our instructor, Pam Beruk, holds Bachelor degrees in Child Development and Social Work as well as teaching certification in Special Education. She has worked with children with autism since 2001.
Due to the overwhelming success of our PALS Groups, we have expanded these programs and now offer 4 PALS Groups based on Age and Gender.
Explore these programs and see which is right for your child.
Our School Age PALS programs are pragmatic language based groups for children with disabilities.
These groups target areas related to:
Interpreting and responding appropriately in social situations
Making new friends
Sustaining peer relations
The Getting to Know You social skills curriculum (Educational Media Corporation, copyright 1998) will be used as a guide for sessions.
* All sessions are 6 week commitments unless otherwise specified.
