Jill Lerner - Jill is the owner of Learn with the Best, a company she founded in 2001. Having moved to North Carolina 11 years ago, Jill is originally from Southern California where she earned an Advanced Bachelors degree in Psychology from Occidental College. She went on to earn a Masters of Arts degree and North Carolina Teaching Certification in Special Education- Learning and Educable Mental Disabilities - Kindergarten through 12th Grade, in 1998 from NC State University and a North Carolina Early Childhood Credential from Wake Tech Community College in 2007. Jill taught self-contained special education classes Kindergarten through 3rd grade for Wake County for about 5 years and then was a resource teacher and compliance specialist in a Montessori setting for 2 years. Currently, Jill tutors students in preschool through 8th grade, manages her fabulous staff, and advocates for families to help them navigate the North Carolina special education system. Jill has recently gotten married and she and her husband have 3 terrific beagles!

Diane - Diane holds a Masters Degree in Early Education and is a graduate of Penn State University. She has been teaching kindergarten for over 20 years and still loves watching children learn! She is married and has three kids, one hamster, one insane dog and a couple of horses. Her favorite color is blue, her favorite food is salad and her favorite music is country! Diane does not like Brussels sprouts!

Cindy - Cindy holds a Master’s Degree in Speech/ Language Pathology and was a speech-language pathologist in the Massachusetts public schools for three years. In 2004, she packed up and moved south to escape the blustery New England winters! Currently, Cindy is an ASHA certified speech- language pathologist in the Wake County Public Schools and tutors children preschool through grade 6. She is also the program instructor for our PALS II group, which is a social skills and pragmatic language based group for students with autism in grades 2 through 5. When she is not at Learn with the Best, Cindy enjoys laughing with friends, playing with her dog “Fenway”, and reading.

Tamra - Tamra is currently in her 6th year of teaching 1st grade. She has had the opportunity to tutor children of all ages since college. This will be Tamra's second year in North Carolina, and she has found it a great place to live and work! Tamra received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Washburn University, in Topeka, Kansas in 2002.

Jennifer - Jennifer holds a Master's Degree in Special Education and has been teaching for 7 years. She has worked with students in grades PreK - 8. Jennifer became a Nationally Board Certified teacher in 2007 for Special Education K - 12. Jennifer looks forward to helping students become successful!

Pam - Pam is the lead instructor for our PALS groups (Play and Learn Success Groups) for preschool aged children with autistic spectrum disorder. She holds Bachelors of Science degree in Child Development and a Bachelors of Arts degree in Social Work, both from Meredith College. Pam also received her North Carolina teaching certification in Special Education-Mental Disabilities Kindergarten through 12th grade from East Carolina University. Currently a teacher for students with autism in Wake County, Pam has been teaching for a total of seven years. She is also a member of the Autism Society of North Carolina. Pam is happily married and has two children.

Robin - Robin has been a teacher of Spanish for over 30 years in the New York City Public Schools. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brooklyn College and a Master of Arts degree from Hunter College, both in New York. She most recently taught at a middle school in Queens, NY for over 25 years. Robin really enjoys imparting her love of Spanish to her students having lived in Spain and studied at the University of Madrid.

Nick - Nick is originally from Baltimore, MD and graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Arts in History. He also earned a Master of Arts from Towson University in Educational Leadership. Currently, Nick teaches 8th grade Social Studies and has taught for 9 years. Nick is married and he and his wife have 3 little girls, a dog named Fitch and a cat named Roxy. A sports nut, Nick loves lacrosse, baseball, and basketball, with his favorite teams being the Orioles, Wizards, Ravens, WSU, University of Maryland, and Notre Dame. Nick also is the JV lacrosse coach at Holly Springs High School and coaches for the Youth Lacrosse System of North Carolina.

Bridgett loves her job teaching students in a CCR (Cross-Categorical Resource) Special Education class at Willow Springs Elementary. Previously, she taught a self-contained class for students with autism and severe disabilities. She is very proud of her parent-nominated, 2006 Teacher of the Year award from the Wake County Autism Society. Bridgett is a North Carolina native and earned her Bachelors degree at UNC Chapel Hill and her Masters degree at NCSU. She is certified to teach children with learning disabilities and mental disabilities and is trained in both the general curriculum and adapted curriculum. She loves traveling, reading and spending time with her family- a little dachshund, Hershey, a skinny greyhound, Squirrel, and a tall husband, David.

Carrie - Carrie moved to Cary nine years ago from Hendersonville, NC, a small town in the mountains. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature and Education from UNC-Asheville in 1999. She has taught English at the 9th, 11th, and 12th grade levels and has eight years teaching experience in Wake County. Carrie became a Nationally Board Certified Teacher in 2006 for English 9-12. She is married and has a new baby, with whom she is currently staying home. Carrie looks forward to working with students to help them uncover their potential and overcome obstacles so that they may achieve success.

Daniel - Daniel was born and raised in Cary, NC and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from NC State University in 2007. He is currently a Ph.D. student in the math department where he studies pure math, particularly math coming from physics. He is an advocate of the idea that anyone can learn to understand and appreciate math and science and is dedicated to the advancement of mathematics and science teaching. Outside of academics, Daniel enjoys learning languages, debating social issues and walking in the forest.
