Chess is a great way to help your child develop a process for strategic planning, thinking under time pressure, and learning while having fun! We will learn the basic movements, introduce openings, and prepare for tournament level play.
Chess will help school children learn cognitive and non-cognitive skills. Students will learn cognitive skills such as counting, problem solving, and planning ahead. Students will learn non-cognitive skills such as learning to wait your turn patiently and how to win or lose gracefully.
